It is with great sadness that the family of David McAllister Sr. announces his passing on Monday, May 14, 2018, after a brief illness at the age of 70. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home in Iowa City with internment to follow at the Lone Tree Cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Randy Parker will officiate. Join family
and friends for a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home.

David's family includes his wife of 47 years, Alice (Barnes) McAllister; his daughter, Lana McAllister; his son, David Jr. (Lynn Suyeko Mandziuk); brother, Tom McAllister; numerous extended family, friends and golfing buddies; and his beloved cat, Mooney.
