Raymond A. Evans, 84, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Willow Garden Care Center, Marion. Honoring Raymond's wishes, there will not be a visitation. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Marion, conducted by Father David O'Conner. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Raymond was born June 13, 1931, in Marion, Iowa, the son of John W. and Caroline (Cabrnoch) Evans. He graduated from Marion High School in 1951.
Raymond is survived by his sisters, Margaret Cook, Martha Evans and Marlene Evans; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John Evans and Phillip Evans.
Raymond requested memorials be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 317 Seventh Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401.
