DAVID THOMAS STEGGALL Ely David Thomas Steggall, 51, of Ely, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Following the visitation, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Shack Tavern, 2545 Old River Rd. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Dave was born Dec. 29, 1967, the son of William and Virginia (Petersen) Steggall, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1986. On Oct. 31, 1998, he was married to Paula Reilly. Dave was employed at Futureline as a service tech, where he worked on trucks. He loved spending time riding in their RZR side by side. As he would say, "There was no way better to relax." Dave also enjoyed spending time in the driveway with friends and family having a beer and sitting by the fire. A day won't go by that I won't think of you. You are the love of my life, my everything. Until we meet again. Survivors include his wife, Paula Steggall; two daughters, Brittani (Jason) Dease and Amber Steggall; and five grandchildren, Rayden, Christopher, Jaxon, LilyAnna and Walter; and brothers, William Jr. Steggall, Robert Steggall and Dennis "Mike" Steggall.
