Nielson, Rick A.
Rick A. Nielson, 54, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13th, 2012.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Upper Gage, Charlie's Pub, Coe College, 1220 First Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Dee; mother, Donna Nielson; siblings, Denise (Scott) Oddo, and Ron (Diane) Nielson; extended family, Lucy Heslop, Debbie (Gary) Bouzek, and James Heslop; stepdaughters, Amy (Jim) Westphal, and Stevie Von Stein (Jeremy); granddaughters, Jaymeson, Kamryn Westphal, and Hailey Starr; and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, and father-in-law.
Rick was born on June 22, 1958, to Ulric and Donna Nielson.
He worked for many years in construction. He enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, drinking beer at the Neighborhood Bar, and his dogs, Keyla, Lazy, Spike and Raider. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Love, Rafa's Mafia.
