Theodore W. Krouse, 66, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at his home following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be noon Friday, Dec. 5, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m.
Thursday. The Rev. Reed Stockman will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anisa's education fund.
Surviving are his wife, Judy; his children, Kristi (Kenneth) Clifford, Cedar Rapids, Zeke (Tricia Eilers) Krouse, Theodore (Jaclyn) Krouse, Anisa Krouse (his very special daughter he was so proud of and love of his life, besides Judy), all of Monticello; three grandchildren, Theodore Krouse II, Klayton Clifford and Evelyn Krouse; his sister, Karla (Kevin) Decker, Monticello; and a brother, Curtis (Darcia) Krouse, Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Theodore William Krouse was born Oct. 24, 1948, at the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa, the son of Theodore L. and Helen Dearborn Krouse. Ted graduated from the Monticello Community Schools and then attended Ohlone College in Fremont, Calif. Ted served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Judy Plueger on Jan. 25, 1969, at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Monticello. The couple lived in Fremont, Calif., where Ted spent most of his working career as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines. He had also worked at American Draperies in Hayward, Calif., and for Iben Construction and Cuckler buildings while in high school. The couple returned to Monticello in May 2005, after the completion of Anisa's adoption. In June 2011, Ted started working at Senior Dining in Monticello delivering home meals.
Ted loved working on his 1970 Camaro, drag racing and going to car shows. He loved watching any type of car racing and football, especially the 49ers.
