Linda Schatz, 62, of Monticello, died Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial for Linda will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, where visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday. Father Paul Baldwin will officiate at the services. A parish vigil service will start the visitation at 4 p.m. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church, where a parish rosary will start at 10:50 a.m., with Mass starting at its conclusion. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Goettsch Funeral Home is in charge of the services.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bernie; her children, Corey (Deaven) and Tracey (Josh) Plueger; her granddaughter, Raeley Plueger; her mother, Harriet; brothers, Jerry (Wanda), Ron (Ruth), Mike (Chris), Bob (Brenda) and Dave (Jill); and sisters, Mary (Mark) Bray, Janet Marshall and Lori (Keith) Knott.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Harold, and a brother, Paul.
Linda was born Oct. 2, 1952, in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of Harold and Harriet Digman Lindner. Linda grew up in Monticello, graduating with the class of 1970 from Monticello Community Schools. Linda and her husband, Bernie, were married June 9, 1973, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Linda spent the majority of her professional career in Monticello with Monticello State Bank and Strittmatter Law Firm.
She was an active member of her community and church. Linda enjoyed countless hours of walking and biking with Bernie and friends.
