William Robert Coulson Jr. passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, in Hiawatha.
Bill was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Tulsa, Okla., to William and Evelyn Coulson. He married Leslie Ann Kunz in Denver, Colo. They had two sons, Brent and Nathan. Bill graduated from Edison High School in Tulsa and went on to attend Tulsa Junior College. He worked as a successful printer before retiring. A lover of anything that goes fast or flies, he also managed to find work as a part-time ski bum in Winter Park, Colo., for five years. Bill enjoyed spending time as an amateur photographer which he did with his friends from the photo club. He was a friend of Bill W. He was an active member of the Fellowship Club serving as director, trustee and manager of the club. In 2007, Bill received a liver transplant.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Patty Sue Coulson of Winter Park Colo., and Barbara Ann Coulson of Denver, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sons.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug., 1, at the Fellowship Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Fellowship Club, 3224 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402; or the SafePlace Foundation, 529 Sixth Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401.
A special thanks is given to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy for their care and compassion making Bill comfortable in his last few days.
