Harold J. Paul, 75, of Sioux City, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 5, 2018. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Waterbury Funeral Home, 4125 Orleans Ave., Sioux City. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Harold was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on April 9, 1942, the son of Robert Nielsen Paul and Mary Larson Paul. He grew up on farms in Linn and Jones counties. After graduating from Morley High School, he attended IBM Management School, and then began a long career in sales.
He is survived by his companion of nearly 20 years, Judith Launsby; his two daughters, Gina Sorensen and husband, Steve, of Austin, Texas, and Julie Kuhlman and husband, Greg, of Marion; one son, Matt Paul of Des Moines; brother, Larry Paul and his friend, Sharon, of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Ruth Rosdail of rural Marion and Doris Himes and her husband, Doug, of Colton, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David; and his sister, Sally.
Harold loved to fish, enjoyed any and all sports and was a loyal friend to many.
