Walther, Robert A.
Robert A. Walther, 52, entered into rest Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013.
He was born Feb. 9, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from St. Edward's High School in 1980 and Ohio State University in 1985, majoring in Agricultural Engineering. He worked for Pilkington for over 20 years, 10 of those years in Frankfurt, Germany. He recently relocated from there to Toledo. He enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors, skiing, hiking, canoeing, hunting, camping and backpacking.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jane (nee Logan) Walther; children, Mary Jane Walther and Luke Walther; sisters, MaryKay (Gary) Buckley and Martha Walther; brothers, Chris Walther, Mark (Terry), Ray, Jim (Kelly) and Mike (Donna); in-laws, Ray and Ethel Logan, recently of Van Horne, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary (nee Burke) Walther.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, Ohio. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Avon (meet at church). Interment will be private.
