Doris Marie Scott, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday March 23, 2018, at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, St. Ludmila Catholic Church, by the Rev. Kenneth Glaser. Burial: Linwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday after 9 a.m. at the church.
Doris is survived by daughter, Patty Scott of Marion; sons, Mike and Kirk (Michael) Scott of Cedar Rapids and Jim Scott of Marion; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, John Gallagher of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, in 1995; infant son, Kirk E.; three brothers; and two grandsons.
Doris was born on Sept. 18, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Patrick and Marie Burke Gallagher. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids in 1952 and then was in the U.S. Air Force during the 1950s. On April 15, 1960, she married Floyd Gordon Scott in Eldora. Doris worked as office manager for Eastern Iowa Hearing Aid Services. She was a member and was a past president of the Eagles Club.
She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by all.
