Jarvis, Ivan Verland
Ivan Verland Jarvis, 94, of Washington, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at his residence following a brief illness. Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. today at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with Pastor Julie Poulsen officiating. Interment, with military honors conducted by Washington American Legion Post 29, will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m.
Ivan is survived by two stepsons, Frank Thompson and wife Margaret of Burke, Va., and John Thompson of Plano, Texas; several stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Leila Lintz of Crawfordsville and Barb Gatton and husband Kenneth of What Cheer.
