Lucille Arlene Schultz, 87, of Stanwood, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, officiated by Certified Celebrant Julie Freese. Visitation will be one hour before the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Lucille was born May 19, 1928, in Poweshiek County, Iowa, to William and Carolyn (Keller) Burke. She worked as food service manager for Cedar County Care facility, retiring after 20 years of service.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stanwood. Lucille enjoyed being with her family and friends, cooking, gardening, puzzles, sewing and reading the newspaper.
She will be dearly missed by her family and all who loved her.
She is survived by her children, Judith (Tom) Cook of Glendale, Ariz., Mary Kay Schultz of Kalona and John Schultz of Stanwood; and a brother, Harlan (Sherry) Burke of Guernsey.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and two sisters, Wilma Neuhaus and Donna Belle Rinehart.
A memorial in Lucille's name has been established.
