Darlene Burke, 76, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Church of Christ United, Winthrop. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Ron of Winthrop; four daughters, Linda (Randy) VanSlyke of Jesup, Debbie (Leroy) Staton of Dunkerton, Vickie (Bill) Rich of Lake Suzy, Fla., and Ronda Burke of Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Jack Ellyson of Winthrop; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard Lamer of Salina, Kan.
