To the editor:
The Democrats are fond of declaring that there is a Republican war on women. I think it's reasonable to ask why the Democratic Party is trying to declare war on the police? One definition of war is, 'a state of hostility, conflict, or antagonism.” Examine the state of things in the largest inner cities in America where the vast majority of African Americans live.
' The unemployment rate in African American communities has been and still is double digit. There are no jobs.
' African American children attend public schools that are failing them while the Democratic Party opposes school choice.
' The leading cause of death in the African American community since 1973 has been abortion. It is estimated that over 13 million African American lives have been taken in the last 30 years, representing about 1/3 of the black community.
' The communities suffer high crime and single parent families living under Democratic Party ideology.
' Apparently African Americans deaths only count if they are killed by white cops. Between 2003 and 2011, 89 percent of the murders in St. Louis were African Americans (1,138). About 90 percent of the deaths were by African Americans, only 22 by white cops. Chicago is worse.
The Democratic Party is responsible for this war on African Americans. They have been and are in charge where the majority of African Americans live. It is no wonder the African American community is up in arms. They are just protesting the wrong people.
