Consider flying the red, white and blue

I believe in America and our national flag. I am distressed because I do not see American flags on police or fire vehicles owned by the city. However, I have seen them on some public transit buses.
Back after 9/11 American flags were available in this newspaper for anyone to display in their vehicle, business or home. I wonder what has changed to not give this great symbol its due respect. Our American heritage will never change.
I think more businesses and homeowners should show pride in America by flying the American flag.
