DALE (ORVILLE) ENTWISLE
DALE (ORVILLE) ENTWISLE Robins Dale (Orville) Entwisle, 82, of Robins, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, surrounded by his family. Dale was born to Gretchen and Orville Entwisle on May 8, 1934. He grew up in Elkader, Iowa, where he met Janice Kraus, and the two were married there at St. Joseph's Church on June 26, 1957. Dale is survived by his five children, Cindy Entwisle, Cathy Entwisle, Cheryl Eggers, Christy Entwisle (Kevin) and Danny Entwisle (Angie); seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Samantha, Curtis, Kelsey, KayLee, Katie and Cody; four great-grandchildren, Colten, Clayten, Cyrus and Kaylynn; siblings: Hazel Koehn, Darlene Tieden, Rita Carrier, Judy Robbins and Larry Entwisle; and many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; his parents, Gretchen and Orville; his brother, Dareld; his sister, Bonnnie; and his grandson, Kevin. Dad was very proud of the time he served in the Army, including his time in Korea. He enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, planting flowers and taking care of his horses. He also enjoyed spending time with his several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. A celebration of life will be April 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. at 75 W. Main St. in Robins.
