Judith L. Pratt, 74, of
Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services at 11 a.m. Monday
at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Perry Fruhling will officiate. Burial at Jordan's Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and at the church after 10 a.m.
Survivors include a daughter, Tami Myers and her fiance, Chris Rodeffer, of Cedar Rapids; a son, Jason (Lori) of Center Point; a sister, Janet (Dale) Lubker; and a brother, Tom (Karen) Clausen. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tanner and Delani Myers and Hayden and Jessica Pratt; and two sisters-in-law, Karen and Gloree Clausen.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband and two brothers, Jim and Dale Clausen.
Judy was born Dec. 17, 1941, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Victor and Frieda Wiese Clausen. She married Francis L. Pratt on June 11, 1965, in Bloomfield. Fran passed away in 2015.
Judy was a fifth and sixth grade teacher at Linn-Mar for over 21 years. After retirement in 2001, she continued substitute teaching.
Judy was very thankful for her students and many friends for the many years of joy and laughter they shared. She was also very grateful to her parents for the gift of having brought God into her life and her family for all their precious love.
Judy exemplified forgiveness, love and acceptance. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
