Catherine Patricia Moore Ahrendt, 68, of Solon, died Monday, March 14, 2016, at her home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 18, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be an hour before the funeral. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Catherine was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Iowa City, the daughter of Patrick L. and Marie Catherine Montgomery Moore Sr. She was a graduate of Regina High School.
Most important to Catherine was her son and her family.
Survivors include her son, Carl (Nicole) Ahrendt of North Liberty; her siblings, Patrick (Cathie) Moore Jr. of Iowa City, Mike (Katy) Moore of New Hope, Minn., Joe (Laurie) Moore of Iowa City, Bob (Sue) Moore of North Liberty and Mary (Marty) Gaffey of Iowa City; sister-in-law, Pat of Iowa City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ben and Tom.
