Charles "CG" Moore, 86, of Williamsburg, formerly of Keswick, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Lantern Park Nursing Home in Coralville.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Glenice; three daughters, Shirley (Mike) Gent of Webster, Susan (Richard) Lucas of North English and Sharon (Mike) Lucas of Cedar Rapids; a son, Scott (Robyn) Moore of Fort Collins, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Odonell of Ankeny and Doris Wright of Webster; a brother, Jimmie (JoAnn) Moore of Keswick; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be in the Sixteen Cemetery in What Cheer, Iowa. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Powell Funeral Home in North English. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages may be sent to the family at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
