Stanley Lynn Pflughaupt, 67, of Coggon, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at his home. Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation
Service, Central City.
Survivors include his children, Corey (Shellie) Pflughaupt, Heather Pflughaupt and Jill Pflughaupt; seven grandchildren, Ashlea (Spencer Hemphill) Pflughaupt, Amber, Alysha and Tyler Pflughaupt, Brittney (Alek) Gravlin, Brent Railsback and Jordan Wickman; siblings, Richard (Karen) Pflughaupt, Jim (Carol) Pflughaupt, John (Cheryl) Pflughaupt, Peter (Jeanne) Pflughaupt, Linda (Shelby) Foss and Donna (Steve) Brower; sister-in-law, Mary Pflughaupt; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert "Bob" Pflughaupt.
Stan was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Howard Allen and Guelda Ione (Starry) Pflughaupt. He graduated from Central City High School in 1965. Stan was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1966 to 1972. He married Phyllis Joslin in September 1968; they later divorced. Stan worked as a carpenter most of his life.
He loved his family and was extremely proud of his grandchildren. Stan enjoyed watching his children, nieces and nephews show cows at the Linn County Fair.
