Pettit, Dorothy May Stone
Dorothy May Stone Pettit, 69, of Strawberry Point, died suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at United Methodist Church in Strawberry Point, with the Rev. Ron Blix officiating. Dorothy wished to be cremated so burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Roberson Funeral Home in Strawberry Point and also one hour before services Saturday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; two daughters, Lisa (Stephen Cook) Timmerman of Strawberry Point and Linda Hackman of Waterloo; one son, Ladd (Laurie) Pettit of Cross Plains, Wis.; two sisters, Beverly MacTaggart of Strawberry Point and Darlene Sewell of Oelwein; a sister-in-law, Ava Stone of Strawberry Point; seven grandsons, Beau (Randi Burns) Timmerman, Chase (Olivia Harford) Timmerman, Lane Timmerman, Joseph Pettit, Derek Pettit, Sebastian Trimble and Brandon Hackman; two granddaughters, Jordan Pettit and Alexis Trimble; and two great-grandsons, Noah Rodas-Timmerman and Jagger Timmerman.
