Jacob Raymond Anderson, 19, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, in his home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. A memorial service will follow the visitation with
Pastor W. Max Mons presiding. Inurnment will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, 2898 110th Ave., Masonville, at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by lunch at the Silver Creek Methodist Church.
Jacob graduated with honors from the Marion Home School Assistance Program in 2013. He was studying computer support and networking at Kirkwood Community College, where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Cyber Defense Club.
He was active in 4-H Benton County Council and was a youth camp counselor.
His hobbies included working on computers, kayaking, hanging out with friends, skiing, running and fishing.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Christina of Blairstown; brothers, Perry and Zane, and sister, Lori, all at home; and grandparents, Garry and Barbara Anderson of Van Horne, Joyce Lindemann of Cedar Rapids and Carl and Lynda Schnebbe of Belle Plaine.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
