Aaron Kyle Richardson II, 15, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2015. Homegoing services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 6621 C Ave. NE. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Aaron was born Nov. 1, 1999, in Chicago, the son of Loise Brown and Aaron Richardson at St. Bernard Hospital. He graduated from McKinley Middle School and was currently a student at Washington High School. Aaron loved basketball, playing video games, writing poetry and was a natural born leader.
Everyone who met Aaron loved him and he will be greatly missed.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Loise Brown of Cedar Rapids; father, Aaron Richardson of Chicago; stepfather, Kevan Clark of Chicago; his brother, Troy; four sisters, Lauren, Karmen, Kyra and Kourtney, all of Cedar Rapids; grandmother, Andrea Brown; grandfather, Jacques Brown, both of Chicago; five aunts, Kimberly Richardson, Kimmie (Todd) McIlvaine, De'Jon (Sean) Allen, Brittany Hill and Porcha Brown; an uncle, Jacques (Sara) Brown II; two great-grandmothers, as well as a host of many great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gloria Richardson; great-grandfather, Jim Strahan; an uncle, Tim Richardson; and a great-uncle, Shaun Brown.
A memorial fund is established in his name at Dupaco Community Credit Union: #Aaron Richardson Memorial Fund.
