Talcott, Gary L.C.
Gary L.C. Talcott, 64, of Marion, passed away at home on Friday, May 20, 2011. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family residence, 3215 26th Ave., on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Iowa Cremation is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; sons, Chris Talcott of Marion and Patrick Talcott of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Rick (Lawonna) Talcott, and their daughter, Jennifer, all both Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
Gary was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, to Wilfred and Bernice Talcott. He married Linda Grout on April 22, 1972, in Sharon Center, Iowa. He was employed by Colonial Baking Co. for over 25 years and then was the area supervisor for Cedar Rapids Janitorial before retirement.
Gary was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He loved woodworking, tinkering and repairing anything put in front of him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
