Amy Grace Joseph, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital. Graveside services are set for 1 p.m. Monday, July 16, at Islamic National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Garry Joseph of Oxford, Iowa, Sam (Diane) Joseph of Spring Lake, N.C., Sue (Todd) Mattison of Des Moines, Iowa, and Jean Leigh Joseph of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Aziza Sheronick; her granddaughters, Leah Joslyn, Sarah Mattison and Angela Fabiszak; and grandsons, Matthew Joseph and Tony Fabiszak. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Revere Y. "Joe" Joseph; her parents, Ali and Negebe Sheronick; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Joseph; and brother, Sam Sheronick.
Amy was born on Dec. 13, 1928, the daughter of Aleck and Negebe Sheronick. She married Revere Joseph on Feb. 24, 1951, in Rock Island, Ill. Amy loved her family and grandchildren, and was a friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Memorials may be directed to HD Youth Center or Waypoint Service for Women and Children in Cedar Rapids.
