Jerry Max Caulkins, 82, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Jerry will be buried with family in Knoxville, Iowa, at a future date.
Jerry's government service took him from the U.S. Army to many parts of Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He continued his career with Collins, Gene's VW and the Cedar Rapids Parks Department.
He had a lifelong interest in all things military, machines and engines, Volkswagens and radio and communications.
