Everett L. "Butch" Anderson, 69, of Central City, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Mercy Iowa City. A Celebration of Life service will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, at the American Legion Post in Central City.
Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Diana; three daughters, Shawn (Lawrence) Tupy of Texas, Cary (Paul) Kelsen of Central City and Jayme (Clint) Reynolds of Cedar Rapids; a son, Scott (Jamie) of Marion; and a sister, Penny Anderson of Osage. He also is survived by nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Steven and David.
Butch was born on Oct. 18, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Earl and Edith Harger Anderson. He married Diana M. Vozenilek on May 1, 1971, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Butch proudly served in Vietnam as a military policeman. He was a member of the Amvets Post No. 37, American Legion Post No. 421 in Central City, 23rd Military Police Chapter and the Farm Bureau.
Butch enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
