Edith Marie Albaugh Ford, 87, of Tipton, died peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Cedar
Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before time of service from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m.
A memorial has been established for the Tipton United Methodist Church, Cedar Manor Nursing Home and the Tipton Public Library.

Edith was born Sept. 27, 1926, in rural Cedar County. On Aug. 30, 1944, she was united in marriage to Wm. Austin Ford in Anamosa. Edith was a housewife and the assistant librarian from 1963 to 1988 in Tipton. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Tipton Friends of the Library, Cedar County Historical Society and Cedar County Genealogy Society.
Edith is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Austin; and three brothers, Arnold, Albert "Bill" and Arthur Albaugh.
