Albaugh, Harold 'Ike'
Harold “Ike” Albaugh, 86, of Tipton, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ike was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Cedar County, to Charles and Doris Rogers Albaugh. He was a 1942 graduate of Mechanicsville High School. He was a generous, hard-working man who was always doing for others.
Ike is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Richard) Becker of Mount Vernon; son, Jerry (Terri) Albaugh of Marion; his ex-wife and friend, Elsie Riley of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Tammy (Eric) Nehring and John (Delisha) Albaugh; and five great-grandchildren, Heather Albaugh, Derek Wilson, Linder Nehring, Dalton Nehring and Layne Nehring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Albaugh; and sisters, Margery Laing and Nellie Ehresman.
A memorial has been established to Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton.
