Stanwood
Robert E. Koch 86, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, from a short illness. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, with a graveside service to follow at Stanwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Stanwood, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; his mother, Bernice; sister, Joan; and brother, Jimmy.
He is survived by his brother, Kenneth; wife, Wilma; son, Russell; daughter, Carla; and son-in-law, Steve.
After many years as residents of Stanwood and members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Robert and Wilma moved to Springfield in 1993, where they joined Redeemer Lutheran Church. Robert was active in the church for many years.
