Loren W. Eickhoff, 86, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Memorial reception will be Thursday, May 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Coral Village, 1799 Fifth St., Coralville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Coral Village.

Loren was born June 3, 1928, in Storm Lake. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy in Panama during World War II. He was proud to have made the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. On Oct. 28, 1955, Loren married Lorraine Mouw.
Loren was a soil conservationist for many years. The family lived in Anthon, Ida Grove, Waterloo, and for many years, Grinnell, where Loren was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW and a volunteer at Grinnell Hospital. Loren loved ice cream.
Loren is survived by his wife, Lorraine; their two daughters, Lori Adams of Coralville and Maria (Terry) Bailey of Grinnell; three grand-children, Grant (Catie), Russell (Calaye) and Amber (Matt); and four great- grandchildren, Gwenny, Taleah, Paxton and Dylan.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna (Boetcher); and three siblings.
