Peterson, Roger L.
Roger L. Peterson, 84, of West Amana, Iowa, formerly of Corning, Iowa, died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Marengo Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brooks United Methodist Church, Brooks, Iowa. Burial will be in the Brooks Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, Iowa, and noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brooks United Methodist Church in Brooks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Roger is survived by his wife Mary; four children, Mary Jean Parvin (Skip) of West Amana, Roger Rees Peterson (Teresa) of Des Moines, Anne Maria Hotovec (Pete) of Urbandale and Laura Lynn Hoss (Jeff) of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Stanley Peterson (Alice) of Corning. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roswell; a sister, Virginia; and a grandson, Bradley.
