Vilma Getz, 88, of Solon, died Monday, May 11, 2015, at her home. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon with Father Tim Sheedy presiding. Brosh Chapel in Solon is handling arrangements.

Vilma was born March 15, 1927, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Fernando Alfredo and Matilde Maria Lacayo. She married Raymond Getz on June 27, 1946, in Los Angeles.

Vilma is survived by her daughter, Vilma (Joe) Rosauer of Solon; sons, Raymond (June) Getz Jr. of Laguna Nigel, Calif., Robert (Joy) Getz of Buena Park, Calif., Al (Louella) Getz of Sacramento, Calif., Bill (Mitzi) Getz of Mililani, Hawaii, and Leo Getz of Tampa, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Maria Getz of California; grandchildren, June (Donovan) Young, Victor (Malia) Getz, Penelope Getz, Raymond (Easter) Getz III, Kimberly (Cesar) Travanty, Renee Getz, Paul (Sara) Getz, James (Amy) Detiege, Jeffrey Detiege, Michael (Jessica) Detiege, Sheri (Joel) Schaat, Danielle (Chris) Rosauer-Beranek, Justin Mohring, Jolene (Casey) Oler, Nicole (John) Grant, Justin Getz (Randell Cabigon), Chad Getz,

Ma-Ka-Mae (Jimmy) Fellers, JoAngie Getz, Leonella Getz-McComb, Johnny Getz and Maria Elena; a granddaughter-in-law, Irma Getz; 56 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; four nephews; and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nora (Gabriel) Aguirre; her husband, Raymond Getz Sr.; sons, Eugene, George and John Getz; son-in-law, James Detiege; daughter-in-law, Marianne Getz; grandson, Robert Getz; granddaughter, Matilde Penelope Getz; and great-grandson, Donovan Young.
