Borrett, Corinne E.
Corinne E. Borrett, 88, a resident of Linn Manor Care Center, Marion, died there Monday, July 2, 2012. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Al Christopherson. The family will greet friends from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Candace Eichacker of Marion, Nathan (Robin) Borrett of Marion and Joel (Joan) Borrett of Waterloo; two grandsons, Phillip (Jennifer) Borrett of Dallas, Texas and Jason (Erin) Borrett of Denver, Colo,; one great-grandson, Asher Borrett; and three sisters, Betty (Willis) Conrad of Manchester, Ruth (Bill) Moser of Wisconsin and Emma Jean Kennedy of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; brothers, Arba, Doran and Donald Smith; and sisters, Belle Gentz and Mae Smith.
Corinne was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Manchester, the daughter of Silas and Carrie (Lewis) Smith. She married Ronald Borrett on April 2, 1941, in Manchester. Corinne was a lifelong homemaker, and also worked as a shipping clerk for Collins Radio and as the dietary supervisor at Linn Manor Care Center for several years. She was a member of the Gospel Hall in Marion.
