MARGARET HENRY

Margaret L. Henry, 90, died peacefully Feb. 20, 2014, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab, with her family at her side. Private family services will be at a later date.
Margaret was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Rowley, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Maggie Gabbott Burroughs. She was raised in the Mount Auburn/Vinton area and graduated from Lincoln High School in Vinton.
On Nov. 22, 1941, Mar-garet was united in marriage with Roy Henry in Vinton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2012.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vinton. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, camping and mushrooming, but her greatest joy was time spent with her family.
Margaret is survived by one son, Steve (Karyl) Henry of Mount Auburn; two daughters, Carol (Ronnie) Geiger of Vinton and Cathy (Russ) Funk of Weslaco, Texas; eight grandchildren, Michelle Gaylord, Annette (Russ) Koons, Wendy Geiger, James (Nanci) Geiger, Gregory Geiger, Tracie (Flave) Markland, Jeff Henry and Steve (Stacie) Henry; 17 great- grandchild-ren, Chris Lough, Eric (Kristina) Lough, Shannon (Ken) Juhasz, Charlie Brownell, Patrick (Lisa) Flick, Michael Flick, Steven (Becca) Shingledecker, Theresa Shingledecker, Nick Markland, Ben Markland, Kaleb Henry, Amanda Henry, Stevie Henry, Ethan Henry, Collin Henry, Maggie Henry and Joseph Henry; and five great-great-grandchildren, Justice and Faith Juhasz, Adrianna Flick, Damien and Aona Shingledecker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; son, Donald Henry; granddaughter, Lori Lough and husband Rich; and son-in-law, Chuck Lerch.
