On Monday, May 4, 2015, Linda R. Schrage, 54, of Anna, Ohio, passed away in her home.
She was born March 9, 1961, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford F. and Norma J. (Ohl) Strempke. Linda grew up in the Independence area and moved to Ohio in 1984 where she married Ronald Schrage Jr. of Dayton, Ohio. They had two children, Erica and Michael. Linda retired from the 324th Military Police Company in 2010 and from Sidney Police Department in 2012, where she was the first female police officer
to serve the Sidney community.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford F. Strempke; her bother, Karl K. Strempke; and her father-in-law, Ronald J. Schrage Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Norma Strempke of Independence; her husband of 29 years, Ronald Schrage Jr.; her son, Michael and his wife, Christine, and her daughter,
Erica (Travis) Rose and their two children Gabriel, 4, and Skyler, 1; two sisters, Karlita (David) Jacobsen of Independence and Tracy (Darrell) Wencke of Mays, Ind.; sister-in-law, Jini Strempke of Melbourne, Fla.; and her mother-in-law, Lucy Schrage, Dayton, Ohio.
Linda had a full, rich life and brought joy to many. She volunteered at Sidney American Red Cross, Sidney YMCA and the American Legion Hieland in Anna, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney, Ohio; www.cromes
fh.com. Viewing will be on Thursday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with service following at 1 p.m. Her burial will be at Pearl Cemetery, following the funeral service;
