Sheryl Kaylee Reynolds of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, in Des Moines. A visitation for Sheryl will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Funeral services for Sheryl will follow visitation at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.
Sheryl was born on Jan. 2, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Clyde and Decie Mason. Sheryl graduated from Shellsburg High School and, after graduation, she married. Together, she and her first husband had two sons, Chad and Tim.
Sheryl is survived by her mother, Decie Mason of Shellsburg; husband, Dennis Reynolds of Des Moines; sons, Chad Kurth of Coggon and Tim (Shawna) Kurth of Shellsburg; stepsons, Mark Reynolds (Ron Briggs) of Long Beach, Calif., and Chad (Stephanie) Reynolds of Norwalk; and grandchildren, Kinzley, Kenna, Alisha and Brett.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Mason; and two infant sisters, Ellen Colleen and Connie Marrie.
Memorials for Sheryl may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or the Second Chance Dog Rescue in Prole.
