ROSETTA (ROSIE) MAE PODUSKA

Rosetta (Rosie) Mae Poduska passed away at the Hospice House of Mercy on Thursday, June 30, 2016, after a short illness. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Brosh Funeral Home with a rosary and prayer service at 4:30 p.m. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 1224 Fifth St. SE, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Christopher Podhajsky will preside. Burial will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
Rosetta was born July 7, 1953, in Cedar Rapids. She lived at Discovery Living Aossey House for the past 23 years and was cared for by their loving staff. She had been working at Options of Linn County. Rosie was a happy person and loved her Pepsi and pizza and also enjoyed going to St. Wenceslaus Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Elaine (Bob) Boes of Ely, Janet (Jonathan) Liebsch of Ham Lake, Minn., Kathy (Jim) Ripley of Kenosha, Wis., and Katie Van Horne of Mount Vernon. In addition, she had many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Loretta; parents, Harold and Leona Poduska; and brother, Ervin.
Memorials may be directed to Discovery Living, Camp Courageous or Hospice House of Mercy.
