Beverly "Bev" M. Fitch, 84, of Tipton, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Mercy Iowa City from complications of COPD. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, at Tipton United Methodist Church with a visitation to be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton.

Beverly Maureen Reeve, daughter of Dale and Edith Titman Reeve, was born on Oct. 16, 1933, in Tipton. She graduated from Tipton High School. She married Forrest Duane "Dewey" Fitch on April 28, 1951, in New Liberty. Bev worked in the Cedar County recorder's office for nearly 30 years, beginning in May 1967. She was appointed as Cedar County recorder from July 1, 1985, through January 1997. Bev was a member of the Tipton VFW Auxiliary and the First United Methodist Church in Tipton. Bev and Dewey enjoyed golf, family and retirement and wintered in Pharr, Texas, for many years.

Beverly is survived by her four children, Sandra Corbett of Tipton, Lyle and his wife, Cynthia Fitch, of Tipton, Brian Fitch of California and Brett Fitch of Tipton; her 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest "Dewey" Fitch; son, Donald Fitch; and parents, Dale and Edith Reeve. Bev was the last of 10 children and was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Marjorie Barnes, Dorothy Albaugh, Marilyn Ailey, Eldora Miller, Delbert Reeve, Robert Reeve, James Reeve, Paul Reeve and Jack Reeve.
