E. Wayne Imhoff, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood, Cedar Rapids. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Faith Bible Church, 46th St., NE, Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow at Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville, Iowa.
Wayne was born April 2, 1938, in Center Point, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Ruth (Fant) Imhoff. On April 10, 1960, he was united in marriage to Karen Kaye Roberts. Wayne worked at Weyerhauser for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Wayne accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1991. He was a member of Faith Bible Church and the Machinists Union Local 831. Wayne loved the outdoors, farming, landscaping, carpentry and spending time with friends and family. He had a servant's heart, always willing to help others, especially the elderly. Wayne's greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen; daughters, Jodie (Wayne) Anderson of Center Point and Jill (Randy) Owens of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Laura (Andrew) Laird, Jesse (Brittany) Anderson, Erin Harris and Paige Harris; step-granddaughter, Melinda Brown; great-grandchildren, Coralynne, Kaylianne and Ezekiel Anderson Laird and Gracie Lyn Anderson; two sisters, Shirley (Richard) Boyles of Cedar Rapids and Linda Horak of Marion; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ruth Imhoff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
