Haag, Richard M.
Richard M. Haag, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Private family services will be held at Dunkard Cemetery in Midway. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Richard was born May 13, 1934, in Lennox, the son of Fred and Mildred (Beck) Haag. He married Nancy Paul on July 20, 1957. Richard worked at Rockwell Collins as a lab technician for 36 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the NRA and the Cedar Rapids Izaak Walton League. He was also a member of the Cedar Rapids Elks Club and Otter Creek Sportsman Club. Richard enjoyed trap shooting and his trips to South Dakota prairie dog hunting. He always tried to do what was right.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy; and sons, Kevin Haag and Richard Mark (Cathy) Haag, all of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to your local Salvation Army.
