Boedeker, Stanley D.
Stanley D. Boedeker, 49, of Lowden, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, in his home. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden, with the Rev. Barbara Muhs officiating. Burial: Van Horn Cemetery, Lowden. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence.
Survivors include his companion, Rita Mayerhofer of Lowden; his parents, Don and Carol Boedeker of Lowden; brother, Steven (Patricia) of Bennett; sister, Sally Jo (Larry) Snyder of Blue Grass; sister, Susan (Mel) Monson of Davenport; brother, Scott of Lowden; two stepdaughters, Heather (Troy) Randall of Urbana and Tomi (Shane) Fuchs of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Born Nov. 28, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, he was the son of Donald and Carol (Freese) Boedeker. Stan worked at Rex Feed & Elevator in Lowden and also farmed, which was his passion. He also enjoyed working in his shop and NASCAR racing.
