Mary Jean (Berns) Bries, 72, of Elkader, formerly of Garnavillo, passed away peacefully died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019. As was her wish, she died in her own home surrounded by her children. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph's Church in Garnavillo. Mary's children will be present to receive visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the St. Joseph's Church Hall.
