Krause, Richard D. (Rich)

Richard D. Krause (Rich), 71, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 in Sun City West, Ariz. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel, Sun City West, and in Iowa in the spring where he will be buried.

He was preceded in death by his parents and aunts.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rosalie; son, Steven of Peoria, Ariz.; daughters, Laurie (Brian) Kunkel of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Lisa Aaroe of Peoria, Ariz.; and five granddaughters.

He was born in Vinton, Iowa, on Dec. 28, 1938, to Dale C. Krause and Eva (Burhenn) Krause. Richard married Rosalie Albert on August 15, 1959, at the Little Brown Church. Richard worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Triangle Bandag and Rud Chain Company. Richard and Rosalie moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in April 1993 and to Sun City West in 2000.

Richard was a member of Chaparral Christian Church, Elks Club of Sun City, Masons, Sun City West Wood Shop, Agricultural Club, Country Western Dance Club and the Sun City West Metal Club. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the wood shop, his garden, dancing and the many, many friends he made during his lifetime. Everyone who knew Richard has a fun memory of him.

They took Richard out of his pain his last two days and were wonderful to him, his family and many friends.
