Kyle Jerome Longerbeam, 25, of Port Alsworth, Alaska, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Dec. 7, 2016, doing what he loved to do.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Iowa State Bank in Fairfield. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Terry and Carla Longerbeam, 1105 S. Sixth St., Fairfield, IA 52556.
Kyle graduated from Fairfield High School, Class of 2009. His passion was to be outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He loved to live and lived to love. He found his faith and was very active at the Tanalian Bible Camp in Port Alsworth.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Terry and Carla Longerbeam of Fairfield; one brother, James "J.J." Longerbeam of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Jessica Anderson of Fairfield; his fiancee, Abbey Wells of Port Alsworth; nephews, Oliver and Asher Longerbeam of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Karin Hemrich of Fairfield; and his beloved dog, Beamer.
Kyle was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jim and Bonnie Longerbeam; and his brother-in-law, Jesse Anderson.

To honor and celebrate his life, friends and family are asked to gather in the Cambridge building located at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. A memorial service will be held in Port Alsworth, Alaska, at a later date.
