David Andrew Norbeck, 53, of 800 W. Benton St., Iowa City, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, following a sudden illness. A time of visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, with a funeral service starting at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church in Coralville. A time of fellowship will immediately follow the service. Family committal services will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials honoring David's love for and joy of children can be made to Handicare Inc.

David was born April 10, 1961, in Iowa City, where he resided his entire life. He graduated from City High School in 1979 and from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's in business in 1984. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of Pearson NCS for over 20 years and a talented musician who loved to play the piano and organ. David was a lifelong member of First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. Edwin Norbeck; and his sister, Sarah Connor.
His family includes his mother, Betty Norbeck; aunt, Jan Alan; and two sisters, Susan Nehring and her husband, Ed, and Martha Norbeck.
