Geraldine "Jerry" Ann Drummey, 91, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Parkview Care Center. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Behner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Father Nick Adam officiating. Burial be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Jerry was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on July 7, 1924, to Walker McKinley and Lillian (Miles) Phillips. She married Clifford Drummey on Dec. 5, 1943, and lived in Cedar Rapids until they moved to Fairfield in 1963. She worked at Collins Radio during World War II while Cliff was in the South Pacific. She graduated from Mount Mercy Girls Academy then attended Mount Mercy College for two years.
Jerry was a loving mother and wonderful homemaker, always sewing and designing things that made her home warm and inviting. She enjoyed knitting gifts for family, crafting, loved jigsaw puzzles and was an avid bowler. Jerry designed and dressed beautiful dolls for family and friends. She loved playing electric organ and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by one daughter, Alicia (Richard) Tygart of Fairfield; one son, Douglas (Haifa) Drummey of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her husband and one, Kathleen Penrod.
