Bradley Lewis Ireland, 64, died Feb. 22, 2017, due to injuries from an electrical fire in his apartment in Parsippany, N.J.
Brad was born at Delaware Memorial Hospital on Nov. 10, 1952, and grew up in Delaware County, Iowa. He graduated from Coe College, where he studied English and literature and was active in theater. It was here he wrote the play "A.A. Train," winning the Norman Lear Award. Brad later moved to New York City, where he went back to school for computer programming, married and had two children, Benjamin and Julia Ireland.
Brad held special interests in music, theater, genealogy, astrology, nature, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Gilbert Ireland and Bernita Grapes Ireland Gray; brothers, Robert and Richard Ireland; and best friend, Daniel Tedlie.
Brad leaves behind his children and their spouses; sisters, Cathy Bossard (Cedar Rapids) and Julie Ireland (Washington); sister-in-law, Mary Ireland (Cedar Rapids); nieces and nephews; and girlfriend, Dorsey Herman.
