Van K. Miller, 66, died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Memorial visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at First Christian Church in Vinton. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the church. Private family inurnment: McBroom Cemetery, rural Shellsburg. Military rites will be conducted at the church following the service Saturday by Iowa Military Funeral Honors and George G. Luckey American Legion Post 57.
