Dr. S.L. “Tony” Anthony, 79. of Vinton. died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vinton. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Presbyterian Church in Vinton, with the Rev. Fred Darbonne and the Rev. Dr. Bill Jamison officiating. Interment: 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Hazel Dell Cemetery near Council Bluffs. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 East Sixth St., Vinton, and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a scholarship fund for those entering or furthering their education in the medical field.
